Supplies provided at all cleanup locations – Community service hours available to students

Saturday, May 18th, cleanup in the Islip Terrace/Central Islip area. Meet at the corner of Spur Drive South and Carleton Avenue, Islip Terrace. (south side of the bridge going over the parkway). This is a join effort between KIC, the East Islip Community Chamber of Commerce, East Islip schools and Central Islip schools. 10am to 12pm

Monday, May 20th  KIC and Good Samaritan invite volunteers to join us in a West Islip community cleanup. The weekday date makes it a particularly good cleanup for corporate volunteer groups. Meet at the corner of Montauk Highway and Beach Drive, next to the hospital. Allow extra time for parking, which is limited by the hospital. 1pm to 3pm

Art Contest with the theme "Litter Bugs Don't Get Hugs." Posters, mixed media, sculptures...all types of art welcome. For children 11 years of age or younger. Deadline May 31st. Contact KIC when artwork is ready to review.
